A day that will go down in the history of Pinarello and world triathlon. Casper Stornes claimed the Ironman World Championship title in Nice, delivering an extraordinary performance and completing the feat in 7 hours, 51 minutes and 36 seconds.
The Norwegian, born in 1997, stunned everyone in his very first appearance at the World Championship.
After the 3.8 km swim and 180 km bike leg, Stornes entered T2 together with the group of favorites, never giving up ground. But it was the final marathon that sealed the outcome: with a devastating pace, Stornes ran the 42.2 km in 2 hours, 29 minutes and 25 seconds, becoming the first athlete ever to break the 2:30 barrier in an Ironman World Championship.
Congratulations, Casper!
