Created in Torayca carbon fibre composite, the same carbon fibre used by the latest generation of passenger aircraft, Cicli Pinarello's new Montello FP8 is the bike that Spanish TT Champ Gutierrez will use in Thursday's Elite World Championship Individual Time Trial.

Silver medalist in last year's World TT championship in Madrid, Ivan Gutierrez, who rides for the ProTour team Caisse d’Epargne-Illes Balears will ride an all-new Pinarello Montello FP8 in the Elite World Championship Individual Time Trial.

Futuristic and high-tech, the new Pinarello Montello FP8 is constructed in Torayca 50HM3K carbon fibre composite, the same material used in the latest generation of high-tech passenger aircraft. Pinarello recently signed an exclusive agreement with Toray Industries to supply Cicli Pinarello with Torayca 50HM3K carbon fibre for the manufacture of bicycle frames.

The latest model of the new Pinarello Montello FP8 used by Ivan Gutierrez is 200 grams lighter and 15% more rigid than the previous model of the Pinarello Montello. Plus the new Pinarello Montello FP8 has a special patented two bolt closure system on the extended aero seatpost.
