Cicli Pinarello Spa will debut an all new Montello FP 8 time trial frame,at the 89th Giro d’Italia. Built in aerospace grade carbon fibre used for the Airbus 380, this composite material is exclusive to Cicli Pinarello Spa.

The Caisse d’Epargne-Illes Balears team, led by Spanish TT champ Ivan Gutierrez is sponsored by Cicli Pinarello and will use Pinarello Montello time trial frames, as well as Dogma FP and Paris Carbon frames.

For Gutierrez, Silver medalist in the 2005 World TT championships, Pinarello created a new version of the

Montello TT frame, called FP 8. This evolved version of the Montello has a monocoque carbon fibre frame that is 200 grams lighter and 15% more rigid than the previous model. The new Montello FP8 uses a special ultra high modulus carbon fibre, available exclusively to Cicli Pinarello Spa, the same composite material used in the new Airbus 380. Pinarello Montello FP8 is the unique teardrop seatpost with a patented closure system.



Ivan Gutierrez will use the new Pinarello Montello FP8 in individual and team time trials at the Giro d'Italia and uses a Pinarello Dogma FP for the other stages, while the

rest of the Caisse d’Epargne-Illes Balears team will use the Pinarello Carbon FP model.
