After the huge success of the 9th edition of Granfondo Pinarello

last month, with over 4,300 participants in the Granfondo, Mediofondo

and Percorso Gourmet, the organizing comittee is proud to announce that

the 10th Anniversary Edition of Granfondo Pinarello will take place

July 16th, 2006. Despite the difficulties involved in introducing a new

course, the organizing comittee of Granfondo Pinarello has always sought to

have a safe and enjoyable event and will seek to improve the course for

the upcoming 10th Anniversary Edition.



In 2005, the Granfondo Pinarello was more difficult than predicted even if the

actual course was shorter because two new climbs up the Madean and Monte Tomba.

For 2006, the concept for the 10th Anniversary Edition of Granfondo Pinarello will be

to keep the length and difficulty the same and make the Mediofondo somewhat less difficult, especially to reduce the long lines at the mid-race rest stop. By the end of 2005,

the new course for 10th Anniversary Edition of Granfondo Pinarello will be presented to the media and grandfondo enthusiasts.



For the 10th Anniversary Edition of Granfondo Pinarello, the Gadgets will be special commemorative items, including a special 10th Anniversary Granfondo Pinarello jersey.

The organizing comittee plans to keep the event fee the same for 2006 (32,00 euros until the first deadline at end June '06), as it's been for the last four year.



In 2006, the 10th Anniversary Edition of Granfondo Pinarello will finish in the historic town centre of Treviso, the Piazza dei Signori which will bring the Granfondo Pinarello cyclists into the heart of the beautiful city of Treviso.
