On the Friday's short, intense 118km Stage 18 from Cles Val Di Non to Bormio 2000, Fassa Bortolo's

Dario Cioni was with the leaders all day and sprinted to an excellent second place on the stage on his Pinarello Dogma.



Cioni has now moved to 5th on gc, just 4'44" behind Maglia Rosa Cunego and 1'30" from third place.



Tomorrow's very difficult Stage 19 from Bormio to Clusone will include the climb of the Mortirolo, perhaps the most diffcult mountain ascent in this year's Giro d'Italia.
