Vuelta a Espana: Petacchi Makes It Four For Grandfather Angelo In Burgos
Alessandro Petacchi has done it again at the Vuelta a Espana, winning his fourth stage in Burgos on his Pinarello Dogma FP bike, for his fifteenth career stage win at the Vuelta and his twenty-seventh win of 2005. Ale-Jet dedicated the win to his Grandfather Angelo, who passed away three years ago on September 8th, 2002. “I really wanted to win in Burgos for my grandfather; I was very close to him. And lso to my wife Anna Chiara, who is always with me even if I am in Spain. My teammates led me out perfectly where I went with 180 meters to go, but it seemed like a really long sprint. During the race, I was in a crash, but it was nothing serious. Now I'm ready for the rest of the Vuelta."
