Fassa Bortolo's Ale-Jet Petacchi sprinted to his 19th win of the 2005 season and his 2nd win of the '05 Giro d'Italia in

Rovereto on his Pinarello Dogma FP.



"It was a great sprint today," said Petacchi in Rovereto. "Today our Fassa Bortolo team showed again we have a excellent sprinter train. I had no one closing behind me, so I think I won well. I took advantage of the long sprint of (runner-up) Grillo, who made a nice move. Today I was hurting all day, from yesterday's tough mountain stage that was still in my legs. It wasn't easy at all."
