Both Fassa Bortolo & Illes Balears-Caisse d’Epargne will use Pinarello's newest MONTELLO Time Trial bike for time tests at the 88th Giro d’Italia. The new version of Pinarello's monocoque carbon fibre MONTELLO time trial bike for 2005, is more aerodynamic and 10% lighter than the previous MONTELLO model. Equipped with the new Deda Elementi AeroBlack Zerogradi carbon fibre TT handlebars, the weight of the new MONTELLO TT bike is around 8kg.



Another special bicycle for Fassa Bortolo at this years Giro d'Italia is the TREVISO, which is the "pit bike”, used by the team soigneurs to move around the finish area of the Giro. This popular city bike was adopted by the Fassa Bortolo team staff to help them support the team riders at the key post-race moments.
