powered to victory in the 7th GP Chiasso on his Pinarello

"I'm in great form right now," explained Kirchen. "Sometimes my back pain happens, like last week, but fortunately then it goes away again. I thank Fassa Bortolo that they put me in the best position to sprint today. Now I will aim to do well in Paris-Nice and in the second part of the Belgian classics.



Fassa Bortolo's team director Alberto Volpi said that "The guys raced with their head and with their legs today. Kirchen is in excellent shape and finished off a real good job by the team."
