Donald Duck, Mickey Mouse, Tex, Corto Maltese and other cartoons’ heroes colored the t-shirt of 20 teams that take part to the “Cartoons on the bike”, saturday 17 april. A 27 km long ride, from Portofino to Rapallo. Each team made by a champion, a manager, a rider and 12 children from 6 to 17 years old. Cipollini, Chiappucci, Indurain, but also champions of other sports like Di Centa, Gentile, Piller Cottrer, Chechi, and manager as Fausto Pinarello had participated to this “special event” in memory of the Coach of the Italian Cycling Team Franco Ballerini. This event is also a different way in order to approach childrens to the cycle’s world. The rain rendered the competition harder and caused some falls (not only to the little ones, as Ivan 6 years old, but also to the veterans as Guido Barilla). Batman’s Team leaded by the former cyclist Davide Cassani won the competition.
