Team Sky will race on the PINARELLO DOGMA F10 in 2018 as the successful partnership between the Team and the Italian company will enter its ninth year. Not only fast, the DOGMA F10 used by Team SKY’s riders must be also the most elegant bike of the peloton, and time has come to introduce the new paint scheme for 2018. Starting from the actual matt black paint, the new scheme adds a touch of white, and the blue bar on the top tube, to be in perfect match with the Team’s new kit. The data pattern, which represents all the Team’s most important victories has also been updated. The result is a design that expresses pure speed, even when the bike is static.
“We love the look of the new Team Sky Pinarello DOGMA F10 for 2018. The success we have had together is testament to the relationship between Team Sky and Pinarello, and we look forward to continuing this for many years to come”. Sir Dave Brailsford
Lighter, stiffer and more aerodynamic than the previous DOGMA F8, the DOGMA F10 confirmed all its potential during the 2017 season, with the historical Tour Vuelta Double of Chris Froome, but also Milano San Remo, Strade Bianche and Clasica de San Sebastian for Michal Kwiatkowski, and many other victories that set the ambitions at the highest level for the upcoming season.”
“Team Sky riders rode the DOGMA F10 to historic success last season, and we all believe it’s the best bike Pinarello have produced for us so far. The Team Sky DOGMA F10 has been given a brand new look for a new season, and we’re already looking forward to riding it to even more success in 2018”. Carsten Jeppesen
The DOGMA F10 frame weights 820 grams, 6.3% less than DOGMA F8 (875 grams) and it is 7% stiffer, while the geometry remains the same achieving all the major goals that Pinarello set out at the start of the development process: - weight + aerodynamics + stiffness and same Pinarello handling. Drag has been reducedaround the concave down tube by 12,6% while modifications to the Fork Flap dropouts, in line with the work done on the Pinarello Bolide TT, have reduced drag in that area by up to 10%.
The junction of the new Shimano DuraAce Di2 will also be integrated into the down tube, making it easily accessible for adjust¬ment, while all cables will be internally routed. DOGMA F10 is in any case compatible with all groupsets available on the market.
The higher stiffness has come from further revolutionary developments in Pinarello’s asymmetric frame designs. Using the material Torayca T1100 1K, that ensures the highest tensile strength in the world, the frame is built to optimally counteract the asymmetric forces put through the bike, providing a stiffer and more balanced ride.
“The results obtained by the Team SKY with our Dogma F10 in this 2017 speak for themselves, and we are very proud of the job done so far. The new 2018 scheme is more than an amazing color evolution, it was clearly designed to give a faster and lighter style to the bike. A natural born winner style!” Fausto Pinarello
The partnership between Team Sky and Pinarello, which has always been based on genuine collaboration, and confirmed once again by the DOGMA F10, has already been confirmed until 2020.
