Sergio Henao won the Colombian national road race title for a second successive year to round off a fantastic Team Sky double.
Henao burst free of a three-man breakaway on the final lap of a tough 228km course to seal his second national title, adding to the Colombian national time trial which was won on Friday by teammate Egan Bernal.
Despite winning the title with another solo victory, Henao was quick to praise the efforts of his Team Sky teammates Sebastian Henao and Egan Bernal.
He said: “The teamwork was spectacular. First with Sebastian, he gave everything for me, and then the hard work of Egan Bernal, ‘wonderboy’ as I call him, who has just won the ITT title.
“We controlled the break in which there were strong riders. But with the work of Sebastian and then Egan and other teams we have been able to control the gap and remain in contention for the victory.
“At the end I was in a little group and I found the strength to attack, then I just had to give everything until the finish line.”
He added: “It's another year with this jersey. It’s not easy to win it twice!”
